Thelma Obirai

Community Researcher

Thelma is currently in a gap year and hoping to study medicine next autumn. Meanwhile, she has been involved in a variety of both community-based workshops and bigger programmes, ranging from being a young ambassador, acting and interviewing for the Royal Greenwich Museum, speaking with an MP, talking with the Bexley Metropolitan police, being involved in COVID programmes to promote sustainability and to also provide entertainment for homes, as well as tutoring secondary school children, volunteering, re-sitting exams, doing medicine entry exams and working as a Care Assistant.

Thelma is extremely adamant about being involved in community-centred programmes through Emergency Exit Arts, Peabody Community Foundation, the Royal Greenwich Museum and many more. Thelma believes that curiosity can teach you the best lessons and provide you with the most unexpected opportunities.
