Ellen Otchere

Community Researcher

I am married with two beautiful children. The road to motherhood has not been easy and I lost many pregnancies after getting married. My first pregnancy ended in premature labour and I lost the baby. This was followed by a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy which was terminated for my safety.

My experience has taught me a great deal and I know there is always light at the end of the tunnel. I learned to be patient, hopeful, persevere and be empathetic towards others.

These qualities have enabled me to become a better person, helped me as a Community Researcher, a multi-sport coach in my local community and a public health volunteer in Greenwich.

My motto is one step at a time, and progress comes before perfection.
