Raquel Caires Januario

My name is Raquel and I became a Community Researcher at the start of 2021. I have had many struggles throughout my life which have shaped me into the woman I am today. Through my fight for a better quality of life, I have learned that life does not stop after becoming chronically ill, it has just begun. All I have to do is continue the fight, not only for my own but, for others in my community too. This is why our research is so important. I believe that the research we do will make a change and have an impact on a better future for all.
